As a senior in the public relations program, I have been an active part of the Wayne State University campus since I arrived as a freshman in 2009. Currently, I’m Copy Editor for the PRSSA publication SALUTE and Peer Mentor for students in the PR program. Throughout my college career, I have been a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a Legacy Leader for incoming freshman students.
Initially I wasn’t sure which major to choose, but I found my passion shortly after my sophomore year. I chose to major in public relations and completed my first PR internship with the DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital during the Winter 2013 semester. Currently, I’m interning with the Special Events Department of Henry Ford Health System. In 2012, I was honored to receive the Renee M. Abraham-Harries Endowed Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence and making a meaningful contribution to the PR program.
Although the field of public relations captures my interest and imagination, I also have a love for the outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy running, fishing and spending time with my family in Houghton Lake.
