As this year’s editor-in-chief, Sandra oversees the collecting, arranging and editing content for the Salute publication each semester.
Sandra is currently a senior whose major is Public Relations and minor is New Media.
“I originally chose PR at the end of my sophomore year because I loved all of my communication classes,” She says. “The more I learned about PR and the numerous different directions I could go with it I more I grew to love it.”
Outside of PR, Sandra is passionate about cheerleading, theater and Detroit sports. She moved to Detroit in the beginning of her freshman year and “have lived down here since.”
“As a member of the Wayne state cheer team, I have had so many opportunities to volunteer with organizations and attend events that I would never have had I gone to another school,” she says. “I’ve grown to love this city and hope to be a part of its positive future.”
In the future, Sandra plans to be in corporate communications and the automotive industry.
“I hope to find a career in corporate communications for a company based in either Detroit or Chicago,” she says.
